Jacob's Surgery

Jacob had surgery on his knee last Monday. He had his ACL replaced. He is doing pretty good. He is starting to get around a little easier. He starts physical therapy tomorrow and has his follow up appointment with his surgeon on Friday. So, because of Jacob's surgery we have been laying pretty low.

I was finally able to exchange my KitchenAid mixer a couple weeks ago. I received a black one. I've always wanted a red one. Macy's was sold out of them. They called a couple weeks ago telling me they finally got more in. The night I got him home, we made home made pizza dough. It was so easy and delicious.

The crust was really thick, which I like. Next time I'm going to cut the dough in half to make two thin crust pizza's.

One day Jaron and Jenna were playing. Jaron wanted to put on his old Buzz Lightyear costume. I was really surprised he was able to get it on. He has had it since he was 3. So, I looked through pictures of him when he was three and had him pose the same way now at age 6. What a difference. He has grown and changed so much.

Happy Birthday I Heart Faces!

This is my first time entering a photo in the weekly http://www.iheartfaces.blogspot.com/. I love this picture of Jaron. It was taken during Christmas at Shaver Lake.

Happy New Year!

We hope you all had a very happy and safe new year. Jacob was able to take yesterday off so we had a great family night. We went to Wal-mart to pick up some snacks. We also grabbed a couple happy new year hats for us to wear. The kids did a great job staying awake until about 11:50. Jaron almost fell asleep and Jenna was really close. So, we got them up and had them help us get their sparkling cider. Then, we all counted down together. They loved it. I thought they were going to be wound up and not go to sleep. We watched a little more of Dick Clark's new year's eve show and then they crashed. They were asleep as soon as their heads hit the pillow. We are looking forward to a new year. I'm sure this one will be much better!
