Wacky Wednesday

This week is Dr. Seuss week for the kindergarten classes. They have all sorts of fun things for the students to do. They are going to have a Dr. Seuss carnival on Friday in the cafeteria with different games for the kids to play. Today was Wacky Wednesday. The kids had to dress as "wacky" as they could. Jaron wore two different shoes and socks, a short sleeve shirt over a long sleeve one, and two ties. He looked pretty cute. He had a lot of fun at school.

A Terrific Tuesday

After we dropped Jaron off at school, Jacob, Jenna, and I went up to town to run some errands. First we went to Target. Jenna had some popcorn. I love that they sell food there. It makes shopping with the kids so much easier. Then we picked up our drapes that finally came in at JCPenney. After that, we went to Barnes and Noble and picked out some new books. Then, we took Jenna to Simpson College to feed the ducks the rest of her popcorn. She had so much fun feeding them. She even posed for some pictures.

After feeding the ducks, we took Jenna out to lunch at Mr. Pickles sandwich shop. She was such a good girl. I always feel bad for doing things without Jaron, but I have to remember that we did all these things with Jaron before Jenna came along and she deserves to have fun with us, too. When we got home, we rested for a little bit, then it was time to get Jaron at the bus stop. Jaron and Jenna played on the Wii for a little bit after Jaron did his homework. Then, we hung our new drapes. We are very happy with them. We love the color. It is so nice to do things to our house. We just need a big clock and some artwork for the walls and the living room will be done.

Manicure Monday

After helping out in Jaron's class Monday morning I came home and needed to trim my fingernails. I got my fingernail file out and Jenna insisted on doing it for me. She was so cute trying to file my nails. After she did mine, she let me do hers.

A Day at Turtle Bay

Yesterday we met up with our friends, Monica, Ryan, and Kyle at Turtle Bay Exploration Park. Ryan is the same age as Jaron, and Kyle is the same age as Jenna. They all get along really well. It is so nice to have friends with children the same age as our own. We hadn't seen them since Jaron's birthday party. The kids are getting big enough so we don't have to follow their every move any more. It was a really fun time. Turtle Bay is such a nice park, I forget how much I enjoy taking the kids there. Yesterday was a great day to go, the weather was perfect.

A Chef is Born

Last Sunday, the kids wanted pancakes for breakfast. So, I started to make blueberry-walnut pancakes. Jenna insisted on helping and she did a great job. She was so cute stirring the batter. I was so proud to see her take an interest in helping. She usually just wants to do her own thing. Here are some pictures. Too cute!

Our Week.....

On Sunday, we had a great family day. We left the house around 2 and went to JCPenney to buy some throw pillows for the couch and loveseat. They are red and match our new drapes really well. After that, we went to Red Robin for lunch. It was delicious as usual. Then, we went to Super Wal-Mart to get Valentine's for Jaron's class. He picked Transformer ones. We also got goody bags and candy and pencils to put in them. After Super Wal-Mart, we went to Marble Slab for ice cream. Jaron had earned a certificate for a free ice cream for filling up columns on the computer program they use in his class. Jenna had strawberry ice cream with sprinkles and Jaron had orange sherbert with gummy bears. They had so much fun. We were the only ones in there and Jaron and Jenna were dancing. It was pretty funny. Jacob got his i-phone out and took some pictures.

On Tuesday, we decided to go up to town and look at trucks. Jacob has been wanting and needing a truck for a long time. He test drove a 2009 Dodge Ram. It is really nice. They are having awesome deals right now. It just isn't the right time for us to have another car payment. We still have a couple years to go on my car.

Today at school, they passed out their Valentine's. Jaron had so much fun. He really loves school.

Tomorrow I am going to pick up a couple of the heart shaped pizza's from Papa Murphy's for me and the kids. Jacob has to work, so we are going to celebrate on Sunday. Jaron is on vacation all next week. I am looking forward to having him home. He is such a sweet boy and a big helper. I hope everyone has a Happy Valentine's Day!

It's Finally Here

We got our new furniture today. It is so comfortable. We love it! It is so nice to be able to sit on a couch again. I can't wait until nap time tomorrow to really try it out. Jacob's chair is super comfortable. I told him it was going to have to be mine. I was just teasing, though. Now, we are just waiting for our drapes to come in and we need to find some art work that we can both agree on. That is going to be very difficult. Here are some pictures of the new furniture.

Girls Can Come In

This is the sign that Jaron made last night and hung on his bedroom door.

It says "girls can come in I like girls". It cracked Jacob and I up. We are in so much trouble when Jaron and Jenna get older. We asked Jaron if he has a girlfriend at school and he said he does. She just doesn't know it. Jenna already likes boys. We are in big trouble.
