6 Years

Jacob and I celebrated our 6th wedding anniversary this weekend. On Saturday, we went to the home show. We always enjoy going to the home shows and getting new ideas for our home. We are seriously considering putting a fountain in our yard. Then, we came back home and changed clothes to go to dinner. We dropped Jaron and Jenna off at my parents house. They spent the night with my parents and had so much fun.

When we left my parents house, we went to Vintner's Wine Cellar. Jacob and I did a wine tasting. It was really enjoyable. We each tasted 6 different wines. We liked all of them. They were delicious. After that, we went to dinner at River's. Our dinner was delicious, probably one of the best dinners we have had. We both had fillet Mignon and crab cakes. They definitely have the best crab cakes we've ever had. They brought us a special anniversary dessert when we were finished with our meal. It was vanilla ice cream with white chocolate covered truffles. The dish the ice cream was in was inside a larger dish that had dry ice in it. It was so cool because it was bubbling and had steam coming out of it.

After dinner, we were going to go see the movie "I Love You, Man" but when we got to the theatre it was really busy, so we just drove around and talked for awhile. We got home around 10:30 which is a really late night for me.

Sunday morning we got up and went to brunch at C.R.Gibbs. It was really good. When we were done eating we went to the mall and did some shopping. We got a couple things for the kids for Easter. I had to find a dress for a dinner that Jacob and I are going to in a few weeks in Sacramento. It is sponsored by M.A.D.D. Jacob is getting an award for arresting over 100 dui's last year. I am very proud of him. Anyway, I found a really cute dress. I still need to find shoes.

We had a wonderful weekend. It was really great of my parents to watch the kids overnight, so Jacob and I could have a really nice dinner without feeling rushed to get back and get the kids. I am so lucky to be married to such a handsome, funny, caring man. I love you, Jacob!

Planting Flowers

The last two days, we have spent working outside. We planted new flowers in the front yard and have started to replace the bark. When we moved in, there was plain brown bark all over. We decided to put red bark down instead. It looks so good in contrast to the green grass. It really makes the colors of the flowers pop! We have had so much fun doing yard work. Jacob and I both really enjoy it. Here are some pictures of our yard.

Last Friday, we had a birthday party and a BBQ to go to. The birthday party was for one of Jaron's classmates, sister. She just turned 3. Her birthday party was a cowgirl theme. They had pony rides for the kids. Jaron and Jenna did not want to ride it. I wish they would've sat on it, so I could've taken a picture, but they were no interested. They had a really good time, though. After the party, we went to a BBQ at one of Jacob's co-workers houses. It was fun, too. We were totally wiped out by the time we got home.

Happy St. Patrick's Day

My good friend Koren gave birth to her second daughter yesterday. Eve Olivia was born at 8:11am and weighed 7lbs. 9oz. I went up to the hospital to visit them today. Eve is a beautiful little girl. It was so nice to hold a tiny little baby again. It makes me want another, but only for about a minute. This is the link to Eve's picture that is on the hospital website.

Today, Jaron came home with a Leprechaun hat that he made at school. It is pretty cute, it cracks me up when he puts it on.

Today is also mine and Jacob's 10 year anniversary of when we started dating. It is so hard to believe it has been that long. My wonderful husband surprised me with a cake when he came home from work. He knows that cake is one of my favorite desserts. He even got it with butter cream frosting. Jacob doesn't like butter cream, he only likes the whipped frosting. I do not like the whipped frosting. Anyway, that was so sweet of him. I love him so much. He is truly my best friend and I couldn't ask for a better husband.

A beautiful day

Yesterday was such a nice day, I had to dress Jenna in her new dress we got her at Wal-Mart for only $6.00. I usually don't buy clothes at Wal-Mart, but this dress was so cute I couldn't resist it. Jenna was very cooperative in letting me take pictures of her. Here are some of my favorites.

Happy Birthday, Jacob

Yesterday was Jacob's birthday. We had a really nice day. I let him sleep in and when he woke up, I fixed him Eggs Benedict. It was delicious. Then, we went shopping at the outlets. We are doing lots of baby shopping. One of Jacob's buddies from work had a baby boy last week. My friends Koren and Leah are having their baby showers this weekend. I am only going to Koren's. Two baby showers in one day is too much. Anyway, Koren is having another girl so we got her a really cute outfit from Gap. It is a summer dress, with matching shoes and a hat. After that, we drove around for a bit and then it was time to pick Jaron up at the bus stop. After getting Jaron, we went to Holiday Market because I had forgotten to buy potatoes for dinner. When we came home, we had some crab cakes that we picked up at Holiday Market. They were really good. Then, I put the potatoes in the oven for dinner. Luckily the weather held out and I was able to barbecue the T-bone steaks we had. I also made a salad and some garlic bread. After dinner, we had birthday cake. Jaron picked out a Batman cake for Jacob. It was pretty cute.

Last Friday evening Jaron, Jenna, and I went to Michael's. Jaron and Jenna picked out some special stickers to make Jacob's birthday card with. Jaron picked "Rock 'n' Roll" stickers and Jenna picked happy birthday stickers. They made really cute birthday cards with pictures in them.
